SUMMARY:Volunteer with CSC at Hollywood Food Coalition — LA
DESCRIPTION:Join Casting Society Cares as we volunteer in the kitchen to help prepare meals for our neighbors with the Hollywood Food Coalition. Family and friends are welcome.  \n*** We need a group of 6 people ***\n \nWHEN\nWednesday\, August 12\, 2026\n5:00 pm – 7:30 pm PT\n \nWHERE\n5939 Hollywood Blvd.\nLos Angeles\, CA. 90028\nStreet parking only. \nWHO\nFriends and family are welcome.  \nHOW\nEmail volunteers@castingsocietycares.org to register.\n \n\nThe Mission of Hollywood Food Coalition is to nourish the community by rescuing and distributing food\, preparing nightly meals and uniting efforts to achieve food equity. In 1987\, they answered a call to action from the City of West Hollywood to help unhoused people in need and started offering a simple meal every single day. Since 2020\, they serve an average of 200 meals each night. \nAdditionally\, the Hollywood Food Coalition has developed and expanded their systems and infrastructure to be adaptable during emergencies\, providing immediate crisis response and sustained support to organizations that regularly serve food-insecure Angelenos. During the recent fires\, they distributed 80\,000 pounds of food to 48 current partners and 22 new fire relief response organizations and community groups. \nIf you’re unable to attend but still want to support this cause\, consider donating to support this vital resource center. Please visit the Hollywood Food Coalition website for more information. Your help makes a huge difference! \nCheck back regularly for more volunteer opportunities with Casting Society Cares.
