DESCRIPTION:As more and more NYers face food insecurity\, please join CSC in supporting the NY Common Pantry Ongoing Food Drive this November. At a time of year when many organizations are focused on Thanksgiving foods\, we want to make sure the staples they need for every other day don’t run out! You can purchase items from their Amazon wish list or drop off physical food items to one of their drop locations. The items collected will be distributed to those in need at their Bronx or Harlem locations. CSC volunteers will support by being their kitchen clean-up crew. Visit the Every Day Action website here.  \n \nEvery Day Action was created and founded by Hillary Cohen and Samantha Luu\, two DGA Assistant Directors\, hoping to change the way Hollywood sees food waste. While they witnessed the film industry becoming more and more green – proud of the plastics and paper it might save – Sam and Hillary started asking\, “What about the people?” They decided to take action\, and during the pandemic shutdown filed the paperwork to become an official 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Every Day Action works with productions and donors to pick up excess meals and reallocate the food to those in need.
