CSC is committed to giving back to our communities.
Our family of casting professionals work together, throughout the year, to partner with meaningful community outreach organizations.
THREE WAYS TO GIVE
Care In Times of Need
The Casting Society Emergency Assistance Fund helps eligible Casting Society members facing urgent financial hardship meet basic living needs with dignity and confidentiality. When unexpected challenges arise, CSC helps provide a bridge of support for the casting professionals who help bring stories to life.
Who it supports:
Casting Society members in good standing who are experiencing urgent financial hardship.
How funds are used:
Donations help provide short-term assistance for essential needs such as food, rent, utilities, medical costs and transportation.
Why it matters now:
Entertainment careers can be unpredictable, and periods of crisis can happen quickly. This fund helps ensure that members of the casting community have somewhere to turn when they need immediate support.
Pathways Into the Profession
The Training & Education Program helps emerging talent build the skills, confidence and professional foundation needed to pursue a career in casting. Through virtual classes taught by working Casting Directors and Associate Casting Directors, students gain practical industry knowledge, mentorship and a supportive community as they take their first steps into the field.
Who it supports:
Aspiring casting professionals, early-career professionals and people seeking a pathway into the casting field.
How funds are used:
Donations help support educational programming, access to working casting professionals, mentorship opportunities and resources that help students build practical knowledge and career readiness.
Why it matters now:
Casting has historically been a difficult field to enter without access, connections or industry knowledge. This program helps open doors, expand access and build a stronger, more equitable future for the profession.
Service Beyond the Industry
Support for the Volunteer Impact Fund makes volunteer-led projects possible by providing the supplies, materials and essential resources needed for Casting Society Cares members to serve their communities. The Volunteer Impact Fund is dedicated exclusively to supporting volunteer-led projects and the supplies required to carry them out.
Who it supports:
Local communities, charitable organizations and the casting professionals who want to give back through service.
How funds are used:
Support helps make volunteer-led projects possible, including supplies, materials and event needs that allow members to serve the community in meaningful ways. The Volunteer Impact Fund specifically supports CSC volunteer-led projects and essential supplies needed to serve the community.
Why it matters now:
Volunteer passion is only part of what makes community service possible. Every project requires supplies, materials, and resources. The Volunteer Impact Fund ensures Casting Society Cares members have what they need to turn ideas into meaningful service for communities in need.
