The Casting Society Cares Training & Education Program is designed to introduce aspiring casting professionals to the skills, knowledge, and industry insights needed to begin a career in casting.
Formerly known as the Casting Assistant Pathway Program (CAPP), the Training & Education Program continues our commitment to creating pathways into the casting profession while expanding access, education, and mentorship opportunities for emerging talent.
Whether you're exploring a career change, entering the workforce, or looking for a way into the entertainment industry, this program provides direct exposure to the world of casting through industry-led instruction, practical learning, and mentorship.

What You'll Learn

Who Should Apply?
This program is intended for individuals who are genuinely interested in building a career in casting.
No prior casting or entertainment industry experience is required.
While previous experience is not necessary, the following skills can help participants succeed:
- Basic office skills
- Computer proficiency
- Strong organizational abilities
- Professional communication skills
- A willingness to learn and engage
Most importantly, applicants should have a sincere interest in exploring and pursuing a future in the casting profession.

Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Possess a high school diploma or a high school equivalency credential
- Be committed to attending all required program sessions
Attendance Requirements
Participation in all 9 days (12 program modules) is required in order to receive a Certificate of Completion.
Applicants should carefully review the program schedule before applying to ensure they can meet the attendance expectations.

Scholarship Support
We are pleased to offer the 2026 cohort with scholarship support, helping make the program more accessible to participants and reducing financial barriers to entry.

Optional supplemental sessions may be offered throughout the program. Dates and times will be announced separately.
Mentorship Phase
Following Day 9, participants will enter a two-month mentorship period designed to support continued learning, professional development, and practical application of concepts introduced throughout the program.
