Volunteer with CSC at Amped Kitchens — LA

Please join us at Amped Kitchens to support Every Day Action as they prep Thanksgiving meals for our unhoused and hungry neighbors. CSC volunteers will support by being their kitchen clean-up crew. We need 5 volunteers for this commitment.

Every Day Action was created and founded by Hillary Cohen and Samantha Luu, two DGA Assistant Directors, hoping to change the way Hollywood sees food waste. While they witnessed the film industry becoming more and more green – proud of the plastics and paper it might save – Sam and Hillary started asking, “What about the people?” They decided to take action, and during the pandemic shutdown filed the paperwork to become an official 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Every Day Action works with productions and donors to pick up excess meals and reallocate the food to those in need. Our very own Jason Kennedy, CSA, sits on the Advisory Board.
